What you’ll do In this role, you will work with developers, product owners and other stakeholders to analyze, build, test, and support business software, distributed in Software as a Service (SaaS) model.
Design, develop & delivery of new features as part of agile team.
Attend and contribute to development processes like planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Analyze business requirements and translate them to precise technical requirements.
Conduct unit tests and end-to-end workflow testing of developed software to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Execute with an enterprise cloud mindset to deliver on security, compliance, and infrastructure initiatives with engineering program management.
Create a detailed work break down structure for assigned work and estimate work effort required for each task.
Develop application software designed to run on virtual machines and containerized infrastructure.
Document software designs, risks, work estimates, delivery schedules and test results;
and communicate them effectively with stakeholders.
Engage in design reviews and code reviews to receive feedback on the quality of both design and code.
Review code written by other developers and provide constructive feedback on code quality.
Provide on-call support for application software in both productive and non-productive environments.
Mentor junior developers and lead scrum teams by setting positive examples.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.
g.
, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.
) required.
Long professional experience in developing application software in Software as a Service (SaaS) distribution model using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
A high degree of intellectual curiosity and a lack of fear for learning something new.
You should be open to learn from others and willing to help mentor and teach.
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with technical product managers, architects, and technical leads.
Knowledge of secure coding practices, compliance, open-source technologies and frameworks.
Good understanding on Backlog planning.
Hands-on experience in developing and debugging Java and J2EE applications.
Proficiency in Web technologies: HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Databases: Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
SQL: DDL, DML, DCL and TCL.
Test frameworks: Junit and Mockito.
Secure coding: XSS, CSRF and SQL Injection prevention.
CI/CD software: Git, Maven, Jira, Bamboo or Jenkins, Nexus or Artifactory.
Server software: Tomcat or similar Operating system: UNIX or LINUX commands.
Working knowledge of Application frameworks: Spring, Hibernate and Jersey.
Troubleshooting applications deployed in public cloud environment.
Deploying applications on Kubernetes platform.
Excellent communication in English.
