Our team in Brazil is growing , we are currently recruiting for a Regional Manager, Environmental Consulting Services to join our Global Consulting Business line in our office in Belo Horizonte.

About the role The Regional Manager, Environmental Consulting Services will ensure the business growth, leading and directing the environmental service's area in Brazil to achieve its short and long-term financial, strategic and people objectives by leading and driving a culture of engagement in the consulting practice in line with Ausenco’s core values and support of Ausenco’s people and development programs.

Additionally, she/he will identify, exploit, and secure opportunities regionally to build and expand on the practice and boost the growth of the current team.

She/He will also effectively use internal resources and external market knowledge to develop business with new and existing clients and do proactive business planning and financial management of consulting projects.

Responsibilities HSEC · Demonstrate leadership and commitment to legal and regulatory requirements for health and safety and ensure the establishment of appropriate hazard management practices.

· Understand accountabilities and demonstrate leadership for promoting and improving the health, safety, and wellbeing of Ausenco's workforce and host communities.

· Develop, implement, and sustain health and safety systems to reflect Ausenco's culture and to meet organizational policies, procedures, and programs.

· Incorporate health and safety awareness as part of all program/project activities and work priorities.

· Demonstrate respect for environments in which Ausenco operates and create a culture where we work together to effectively manage our environmental responsibilities.

· Ensure Ausenco strategy, management decisions, systems and processes are founded on best practice environment and community requirements.

· Accountable for ensuring incidents, including near misses, are reported, investigated and analyzed.

Corrective and preventive actions are taken and learning's shared.

People · Provide leadership and role modelling on Ausenco’s Core Values and develop and implement initiatives that support and drive a culture of engagement.

· Accountable for talent development review of consulting practice personnel:identification of high potential staff, creation and implementation of meaningful and measurable development plans, ongoing feedback and evaluation, and refining development plans where necessary.

· Develop capability within the consulting practice to ensure team members can fulfill their roles.

· Oversee, monitor, and maintain the staffing resource in line with budget and forecast expectations, taking into account required reimbursable levels and GM targets.

· Define and communicate task and performance expectations for direct reports, monitor performance against the requirements and act where appropriate.

· Coach direct reports on leadership skills, business plan development, and business performance issues.

Conduct the InterAct process with direct reports.

Formulate and implement individual development plans with direct reports.

· Ensure consulting personnel within the group are provided with adequate training on systems and procedures to support the effective delivery of consulting services.

Projects · Ensure the safe and successful delivery of Ausenco projects within the Consulting practice, in collaboration with the regional delivery groups as required, and providing high level expertise, oversight and guidance.

· Ensure business systems and processes support effective delivery of consulting services and maintenance of quality and other applicable standards.

· Contribute to the successful planning and execution of Ausenco projects across the consulting practice relative to the client’s business needs, by providing broad or specific guidance, as needed.

· Develop project scope based on understanding of key clients’ businesses and needs.

Business Development · Externally represent Ausenco to external parties (potential new clients, industry associations, universities, etc.

) through active networking and targeted engagement within the applicable consulting practice community;
elevate external profile.

· Develop and drive sustainable, recurring, and strategic new business opportunities within the consulting practice.

Promote across-business collaboration initiatives and work cooperatively with Business Development and delivery groups to ensure a whole company approach is taken regarding the expansion of service offerings and new business.

· Lead the effort in developing new client relationships relevant to the consulting practice and champion collaboration across groups to identify opportunities to enhance client value.

· Guide BD / Marketing on and contribute to developing group specific and broader Ausenco sales material that features the consulting practice’s products or services.

Clients & Markets · Coach personnel in preparation for and debriefing of key client interactions.

· Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions.

· Continually seek opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships.

· Identify and build a knowledge base of key clients’ businesses, organization, and objectives and act as key point of contact for such clients.

· Radiation of knowledge/thought leadership externally (e.

g.

, social media, conferences, events, publications) · Manage the P&L of the consulting practice to maximize revenue, gross margin, and EBIT.

· Project, monitor, analyze and optimize cash inflow and outflow adjusting where required to account for project falloffs, changes in the market etc.

· Recommend budgetary and performance monitoring activities for the consulting practice to support both strategic and operational goals and objectives.

· Accountable for the accurate and timely delivery of corporate reporting initiatives.

Business Planning · In collaboration with the Vice-President, Consulting develops a business plan for the consulting practice which aligns with and helps facilitate the achievement of the overall business strategy.

Communicate the plan to create alignment and engagement.

· Complete the business planning cycle, including monthly re-forecasting, with the development of strategic plans, budgets and operational plans.

Ensure that people are assigned to the business in a way that ensures that they are able to create the most value and maximize utilization of resources.

About you Formal Education and Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in civil engineer and/or related careers.

· Previous leadership responsibility is a prerequisite.

Skills and Knowledge · A strong background in leadership of engineering / consulting resources and proven track record of operating in a consulting focused, high growth environment.

· Strong business development and client relationship skills and experience is required.

· The ability to create and share a sense of direction, give clear direction to individuals and teams and willingness to coach and mentor others to build business capability for the future.

· Experience leading and growing a team.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing proposals, delivering presentations, and developing business cases.

· Strong problem solving and organization skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.

· Strong understanding of financial reports and project budgets.

· Advanced commercial understanding including commercial and legal acumen with respect to contracts, pricing etc.

· Ability and willingness to travel.

· Fluency in English, Spanish is a plus.

Work Experience · 10+ years’ leading multidisciplinary teams, experience in geotechnical engineering related to tailings dams, knowledge of environmental studies, experience as a mining project manager.
