In the Quality Manager position, you will oversee the evaluation of green coffee raw materials associated with KDP Brasil Global Sourcing functions, monitor green coffee quality to ensure performance to standard and assist in raw material sensory evaluation activities.

You will facilitate communication of quality standards and expectations to suppliers and report on supplier performance.

Additionally, you will ensure quality standards and evaluation methodologies are aligned with Keurig Trading's customers.

You will document and maintain sensory profiles and attributes associated with green coffee materials, and support coffee purchasing activities to optimize the allocation of green coffee.

In this position, you will also support other sensory related functions such as new product development by exploring new Brazilian coffee qualities, overseen by the Keurig Trading Quality Department.

Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee the receipt, preparation, evaluation, documentation, reporting, and training functions required to ensure green coffee quality performance to standard and within targets.

Prepare and evaluate green coffee samples, including physical evaluation of green coffee, sample roasting, dosing, grinding, cupping, and brewing.

Document and communicate quality standards and attributes for all green coffee materials to internal and external stakeholders.

Direct the daily activities, train, and participate in the development of the Coffee Quality Technicians.

Perform analysis of green coffee statistics versus targets, and provide regular reporting of performance to management, coffee buyers and suppliers.

Create and amend quality processes and protocols and communicate to suppliers and inside the organization whenever necessary.

Participate in general sensory activities for evaluation and training.

Work closely with the Keurig Trading Quality and Procurement teams to help train and calibrate suppliers to KDP’s cupping methodologies, protocols, and desired sensory attributes.

Develop, oversee, and maintain calibration protocols and training activities for KDP Brasil Global Sourcing and in alignment with US-CAN-SWISS cupping panels.

Ensure regular and frequent communication with internal stakeholders.

Oversee the maintenance of a "World Class" green coffee evaluation lab based on the 6S, Specialty Coffee Association lab specifications and "Q" grading standards.

Additional activities may include maintaining lab test logs, record books, databases and helping with special projects linked with IT, SHE, Sustainability.

Qualifications Degree in a related field preferred, and at 5 years of prior experience in coffee manufacturing and sensory activities.

Fluency in Portuguese and English is required, proficiency in Spanish is desirable.

Demonstrated coffee sensory skills and/or "Q" Grading proficiency.

Knowledge of standard cupping methodologies.

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, including the ability to serve as an ambassador to internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrate a top-level technological aptitude and be highly skilled in the use of precision measurement tools, data recording devices, and computer software.

Brazilian nationality or holder of a valid work permit Preferred skills: Certification in sensory methodology including SCAA and CQI.

Familiarity with Lean processes and structured problem-solving techniques.

Ability to travel internationally for up to 10 days under rustic conditions with a flexible schedule.

Experience with implementation of GLP, QMS and laboratory certification processes.
