The Expert Electrical Installation Design Engineer will work with the Boeing Global Services engineering teams, in order to identify engineering requirements and solutions for active and upcoming aircraft cabin flight deck and cabin interior modifications projects, to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements and procedures defined in the company Design Organization Handbook (DOH).

Position Responsibilities: • Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data;
summarize findings;
develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources;
• Lead certification activities to ensure compliance with design requirements, and be a technical focal for certification and design/integration issues relating to electrical /avionic equipment and systems changes as part of large aircraft modification programs;
• Compile and review engineering accomplishment documentation and instructions for continued airworthiness including: Wiring Diagrams;
Wire routing installation drawings, and harness fabrication drawings;
Service Bulletins / accomplishment instructions;
aircraft and component manual ICA supplements including wiring diagram manuals, system schematic manuals and EWIS assessments;
• Compile and review certification documents to demonstrate compliance with relevant electrical systems related airworthiness requirements including: Electrical load analysis documents;
Test plans and reports;
Compliance Statements;
System Safety, Equipment and EWIS documents;
Compliance checklists;
Certification Programs;
• Review and approve documentation produced by suppliers to provide assurance of successful showing of compliance with relevant customer and regulatory requirements;
• Act as Boeing representative during customer meetings such as ITCM, PDR, CDR and FAI in support of active and up-coming projects.

Provide additional on-site support to assist the customers during the embodiment phase of the project;
• Work closely with customers, outside vendors, MROs, regulatory agencies and other teams within the company, to create engineering solutions that exceeds customer expectations on time and within budget;
• Interface with Certification Authorities;
• Mentoring and training new engineers;
• This position will require occasional national and/or international travel to visit customers and subcontractors.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil • Bachelor degree in Engineering from an accredited university • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language • Experience in CAD/CAM software (CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Siemens NX) • Experience with aircraft Electrical/Avionics wire design engineering • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA) Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience): • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, with degrees in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, or related technical discipline • Knowledge and experience of aircraft interior modification programs, with capability of reviewing design packages on Electrical/Avionics Systems design including in-flight entertainment, connectivity, cabin and emergency lighting and changes related to the introduction of new electrical or electronic equipment • Knowledge and experience of ANAC/FAA/EASA regulatory and airworthiness requirements including (E)TSO, RBAC 25, CS-25, JAR-25 and FAR-25 requirements (relevant to the electrical/avionics discipline) • Knowledge and experience working with an ANAC/FAA/EASA Part 21J Design Organization (or equivalent) • Current or recent appointment as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) with terms of approval relevant to the Electrical Systems (Panel 5) and/or Avionic Systems (Panel 6) disciplines is highly desired • Ability to work across different engineering disciplines, on multiple programs with varying level of requirements efficiently and effectively • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with leaders and coworkers, customers and suppliers, in an engineering environment Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Additional Information: This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil.
