The Role:As The Technical Author/Word Processor, you will be involved in editing a variety of internal and customer-facing deliveries, ranging from technical reports, proposals and marketing materials.

You will work closely with all levels within the organization to ensure accuracy and consistency across company documents.

Revised text for errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling, and check for readability, consistency, style, and agreement with editorial policy.

Suggest revisions, such as changing words and rearranging sentences and paragraphs, to improve clarity or accuracy.

You can search, confirm sources, and verify facts, dates, and statistics.

Make sure that tables, text, and figures are consistent.

In addition, you can organize page layouts of articles, photos, and advertising.

Make sure that the output documents are error-free.

Work with writers on clear communication techniques, grammar and Knight Piésold style guides.

Provide training and/or useful tools/guides/tips/tips to the team on technical writing as needed.

Prepare templates for letters, reports, proposals and marketing material and ensure a consistent brand.

Keep knight piésold's style guide based on the company's brand and writing supporting documents (tips, tips, template guides, etc.

).

Make sure that documents are consistently formatted according to standard templates, including reviews and final preparation of customer reports, charts, tables, and materials, and collateral marketing forms.

Provide supervision and coordinate multiple writing projects simultaneously.

Multitasking and working under pressure to meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Using Microsoft Word, you should be able to create/edit a table of contents, create headers/footers, understand section/page breaks, insert photos, etc.

Perform document control activities, including proper registration of issued and received documents and the maintenance of document control records.

Create resumes for new hires and update employee resumes as needed.

Coordinate, produce, and archive all corporate documents, including responses to proposal requests, customer-facing deliveries, and presentations.

Watch with general corporate marketing, outreach, and presentation preparations.

Watch administrative work, including compiling internal training materials, replying to emails, and electronic archiving of documents.

Assist project managers in routine needs, including managing daily office tasks.

Liaison within the engineering team, obtaining project updates and reporting status.

Ensure compliance with processes (ISO system) and project requirements.

Coordinate with global offices and customers who provide fast, professional, and courteous support via phone, email, internet systems, or in person.

Provide general administrative support and other roles as assigned.

What you bring to the team: Bachelor of communication, journalism or English, combined with previous writing and review experience.

Fluency in Portuguese is required and bilingual english is highly desired.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as Technical Editor and/or Technical Writer, preferably within an engineering consulting industry.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Creativity.

Editors should be creative, curious and knowledgeable on a wide range of topics.

Some editors should regularly come up with interesting story ideas and attention-grabbing headlines.

Details oriented.

One of the main tasks of an editor is to ensure that the material is error-free and matches the style of a publication.

It exerts common sense and strong organizational skills and is a multitasking.

Interpersonal skills.

You must be able to communicate and follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of customers and employees.

When working with writers, editors should have tact and the ability to guide and encourage them in their work.

It should be able to meet the editing and writing styles of a wide variety of authors, document types and audience.

Language skills.

Editors must ensure that all written content has correct grammar, punctuation, and syntax.

As a result, strong language skills are essential for an editor.

Writing skills.

Publishers should like to write and should be excellent writers in general.

They should be able to express ideas clearly and logically, as well as organize complex documents and communicate clearly and concisely.

Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint) and Windows Operating System.

The experience with Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator and Lightroom is preferred.

A passion for precision and consistency, combined with flexibility and enthusiasm for change.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams.

Ability to work outside normal business hours as needed.

Work Environment: Work will be in both office and field environment with travel to various outdoor sites determined by project needs.

Adherence to safety standards of the firm is mandatory.
