We are looking for a Safety Technician to join our team.
Based in Vila Velha, Brazil, reporting to Qualty Manager, you will be responsible for the Carry out work related to work safety, aiming to ensure conditions that control and reduce the risk of accidents, in accordance with specific legislation and company standards and guidelines.
Key responsabilities:• Carry out inspections in the workplaces and other premises of the unit, identifying unsafe conditions, taking all measures to eliminate risks, reporting and guiding workers in order to eliminate unsafe conditions and acts:• Arrange together with the competent body the survey of environmental risks, as well as the preparation of the PPRA, provide support to SIPAT organizing the necessary activities and resources:• Research and analyze the causes of occupational diseases and the environmental conditions in which they occurred, taking the measures required by law, in order to prevent their recurrence, as well as correcting those with unhealthy conditions that cause these diseases:• Monitor the restaurant, surveillance and concierge services, in order to ensure good service to the internal public and visitors:• Collaborate with CIPA in its programs, studying its observations and proposals, aiming to adopt corrective and preventive solutions for accidents at work.
Analyze and investigate accidents, inspect the accident site and describe it and send it to Organs competent bodies:• Keep fire-fighting equipment in perfect conditions of use, controlling its distribution on the unit's premises and sending them for maintenance and recharge:• Determine and guide workers in the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), as well as purchase and distribute all equipment:• Provide and catalog the execution of signs, posters or safety signs and provide warning signs, allusive posters and risk maps:• Raise and study statistics on accidents at work, occupational and occupational diseases, analyzing their causes and severity, with a view to adopting preventive measures:• Develop and promote courses and lectures on safety, firefighting and first aid:• Ensure that conservation, cleaning and hygiene procedures are observed in the work area, as well as guide third parties in complying with safety, discipline and accident prevention standards as well.
Establish, implement, maintain and evaluate the HSE MS, in accordance with the Prysmian group's HSE MS, and the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards:• Provide professional and operational support to managers, employees and contractors in relation to HSE, their tasks and responsibilities;
Evaluate HSE investments;
• Promote HSE awareness across the organization;
Assist in the Analysis and preparation of safety and health documents for Offshore/Onshore service contracts;
• Report HSE MS performance to plant management for review and use as a basis for system improvement.
