It's a place of outstanding rewards, where talent opens doors to exciting challenges in the hospitality industry.This person oversees the different functions of the food and beverage areas including but not limited to, banquets, Food and Beverage outlets and activation operations and all other F&B areas throughout the property at different times within the hotel.Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Supports and Manages the Banquets and Outlets Department while working closely with the Director of Operations and other hotel departments. Leadership responsibilities also include Convention Services (CS) Set Up and Banquet Beverage.Supervise, Empower, Lead, Coach and Motivate the Banquet/CS team including supervisors, houseman, and servers toward achieving exceptional guest service results and complete associate engagementEnsure thorough communication and understanding with guests and other departments by reviewing Banquet Event Orders.Responsible for the appropriate and timely set up of all functions and meetings while maintaining standards of food, beverage and meeting specificationsResponsible for proactively reviewing staffing and equipment needsAssist in overseeing the set-up of the rooms for meetings and banquets. Ensures equipment is in working order.Creates an environment establishing highest standards of quality service and ensures implementation through effective hiring, training development, promotion and continuous reinforcement.Administrative tasks may include the facilitation of payroll, reports, forecasts, point of sale procedures, inventory and budget for food and beverage functionsPerforming daily walk-throughs in banquet department and all function space and storerooms to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt Corporate standardsSupports and oversees all Food and Beverage outlets daily operations at the hotel, while working closely with other departments to ensure delivering an elevated guest experience.Assists with the development of menu, pricing, beverage listsAssist in developing long- and short-range financial objectives for the F&B Department consistent with property objectives to ensure maximum profitability.Be part of the interview, hiring, training & development process of new and existing staff, including coaching and accountability conversations.Knowledge and understanding of P&L.Motivate, lead and keep staff informed of upcoming activities that will impact operations through effective communication and pre-shift meetings.Provide regular recognition for exceptional performance, as well as timely counseling on an as needed basis.Hyatt associates work in an environment that demands exceptional performance yet reaps great rewards.
