Job Description The Intelligence & Security (I&S) sector of BAE Systems, Inc. is seeking a Director of Technology Partnerships & Strategic Capture in the northern VA area. This position reports to the Vice President Business Winning and Strategic Planning and will play a critical role in shaping the sectors go to market strategies, strengthening the competitiveness of proposal bids, and fostering long-term industry partnerships to address customer technology gaps and emerging needs. This position creates whole solution offerings by connecting our technology partners to our solution architects and top engineers. Qualified candidates must demonstrate technology leadership, executive presence and excellent written and oral communication skills to CEO level executives and customers. Measure and regularly report out on organizational results at senior levels. Provides input and support to the company's long and short term goals and provides the leadership to achieve those goals.
Specific responsibilities include: Grow technology partnerships engagement aligned with I&S top opportunity pipeline, to include existing as well as adjacent markets/customers, through diligent and timely identification/qualification of new business opportunities by leveraging current technologies, customer intimacies, and inter-company collaboration Develop and execute strategic plans for technology partner engagement across the business portfolio Partner with Capture Leaders to maximize customer engagement and value proposition positioning Obtain marketing intelligence and competitive data from Technology Partners pertaining to potential targeted pursuits, and develop marketing strategies Participate in bid decisions, competitive intelligence, cost to win reviews, and capture plan reviews Establish, build, and maintain technology partner relationships and drive the technology partner participation in the execution of our capture plans Participate in IRAD and B&P planning as well as overhead budgets
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelors Degree in a technical or related discipline (MBA or masters preferred) Minimum of 15 years of relevant BD/technology partner/channel partner experiences Demonstrated experiences in bringing mission IT and activity based analytic solutions to the DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) Track record of success in leading and winning contracts >$50M Experience leading opportunity captures, including: developing overall win strategy; shaping deals with customers; developing teaming strategies, identifying and closing with teammates; understanding pricing and assist in developing winning price Demonstrated background in solution selling, developing new markets, with proven leadership from inception to fruition of a strategic campaign.
