We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Engineer to join our Gudai-Darri Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM) team.

Gudai-Darri is a new mine, shaping new ways of working. You will get the opportunity to work on brand new fleet embedded with the latest technology comprising of Autonomous Haul Trucks, Drills and Water Carts along with other manual heavy mobile and ancillary equipment.

The Senior Engineer will lead the maintenance engineering and non-destructive testing (NDT) team and will be responsible for whole of life engineering whilst championing the asset health and defect elimination processes in order to improve the mobile fleet performance.

As a key leadership role, this position will give you the opportunity to develop and extend your leadership career as you will work back to back with the Superintendent MEM.

Reporting to the Superintendent MEM, you will:

Lead and develop a team of Engineers and NDT Technicians to deliver site goals
Oversee the maintenance team whilst working back to back with the Superintendent
Provide expert technical advice to the HME teams
Lead and support investigations into asset failures and performance, including root cause analysis (RCA)
Analyse equipment performance data to identify high value defect elimination opportunities and implement improvements in reliability, productivity and cost
Monitor and analyse the performance of our assets and analyse primary/secondary maintenance tasks to improve asset reliability and cost 
Partner and collaborate with other key stakeholders

What you’ll bring

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline with previous maintenance or reliability experience (ideally within a mining environment)
Demonstrated experience leading maintenance teams – experience with HME will be beneficial
The ability to work collaboratively across a diverse range of stakeholders and operational teams
The desire to be working in a hands-on, fast paced position
Working knowledge of statutory, Australian and engineering standards
A demonstrated commitment to safety
A current and valid manual ‘C Class’ driver's license
Experience with SAP will be advantageous

This position is based at our Gudai-Darri operation on a FIFO 9/5 roster from Perth.

Located 160km North-West of Newman, our Gudai-Darri Operations will have a dedicated airport, state-of-the-art camp facilities and family friendly rosters making it an exciting and pleasant place to work at.
