Sonas Early Learning & Care is seeking a skilled, experienced and trustworthy Assistant Centre Manager to assist in leading our Huntingdale team to create amazing childhood memories for our children. Our philosophy puts children and childhood at the heart of everything we do, and we aim to provide our parents with the confidence that their precious children are in capable and loving hands. Using the most innovative communication technology that updates families on their children's day in real time, we are known for being the personal education and care service, where your family is our family. Children are celebrated and offered opportunities that promote development, create a life-long love of learning and encourage independence and agency through exploration, creativity, risk-taking, and enquiry in a play based environment, and in their own time and space. Job tasks and responsibilities

 

As a Sonas Assistant Centre Manager you will:


Assist in leading teams to create innovative and exciting learning programs for children in family-grouping settings based on children's interests, strength ad abilities;
Assist in leading teams to create indoor and outdoor learning environments that inspire and motivate children to learn, imagine and create;
Build strong, professional and genuine relationships with children and their families, to best support family participation on our program and build trust between the service and our clients;
Build strong, professional and genuine relationships with your team, your colleagues and management
Lead and mentor educators, trainees and other employees in all aspects of high quality education and care and best practice
Actively participate in team events to promote cohesiveness and strong team culture;
Maintain and promote the financial viability of the service through effective marketing and promotion strategies and events, strong enquiry and conversion of potential clients, and by providing an above expectation service that delights our families
Create an effective quality improvement plan to work in conjunction with your team and management
Continue your own learning journey through professional development and training.

 

Skills and experience

 

As a Sonas Diploma Qualified Educator you will need to:


Hold an Early Childhood Teaching Qualification, a Diploma of Children's Services or equivalent;
Hold a Certified Supervisors Certificate;
Hold a current First Aid qualification, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis;
Be familiar with the Reggio Emila and Emergent Curriculum approaches;
Be familiar with the "Family-Grouping " or "Mixed-aged Grouping" Approaches;
Have a desire to continually improve your skills and knowledge to improve outcomes for children;
Have a desire to create special happy childhood moments that live with children forever.
Have experience in managing an Education and Care Service with knowledge of all regulatory  and quality improvement  system considerations that apply.
